AdvanceBio Columns Blog Series

This blog series will focus on sharing practical advice and troubleshooting tips for biomolecule separations.

Hi all!  Welcome to the new BioColumns Blog.  My name is Anne, and I’m a biocolumns applications chemist at Agilent.  I confess that my background is in mass spectrometry – not chromatography – and once upon a time I assumed all C18 columns were the same, but I’ve “seen the light” and now appreciate an LC as more than an autosampler for my mass spec!  With a lot of trial and error, studying, research, and asking a million questions I’ve picked up a ton of tips to improve my results and make life easier.  Now I’m looking to share them all with you!

In this space we’ll have discussions and share practical tips – the little things that save time, avoid problems that drive you nuts, and how to recognize and fix issues that occur occasionally.  Occasionally we’ll discuss peer reviewed literature, application notes, and other educational resources on the web.  We may direct you toward various products as they are useful, but I want this space to really focus on practical advice based on data and experience.

Next time I’ll show you just how big a difference making sound LC connections can make.

Speak soon!

Anne
