If the Wave software used with Seahorse data displays an error stating: “The file cannot be opened since it is damaged or truncated”, this document can be used to help troubleshoot.
Here is a list of the most common causes for this error:
- No background correction groups assigned. For any Seahorse assay, background wells are critical for acquiring reliable data. Background correction wells are assigned to the plate map by default. Although it is possible to modify the default background wells, at least one well must be assigned to the background correction group
