Error Message: Vial Range -1 to -1 - OpenLAB CDS Chemstation

Situation:

UIser was receiving the error message when trying to start a sequence or single injection. User was running a G1329A, C.01.07 OLCDS, fw A.05.64. User also had a 35900E attached to the LC stack for an external detector.

Resolution:

The method was set to injection source = external device. Customer changed the Injection source to ‘ALS’ and the warning message was cleared. Also made sure the user had selected ‘External device will start 35900’ under the Instrument menu> Set up ADC Timed Events. When this option is selected it is using the autosampler as the ‘external device.
