Getting Ready!!

What should you consider before your system arrives?

  • How big are the crates that will arrive?
    • Make sure there is space to store the shipping crates.  The crates are huge because they include a lot of boxes: GC, Computer and peripherals, MS, pumps, etc.

  • The boxes are in the way, may I open them?
    • Do not open any boxes! All boxes should remain unopened as received from Agilent.
  • Is there access to the lab from the receiving location?
    • It is easiest if the crates are brought as close to the lab bench as possible before the installer arrives.

  • Has the lab met Health, Safety, and Security requirements?
    • Are there any restrictions to site access for the installer?

  • Is there open, clear, empty bench space, around, behind, and above where the instrument will be installed? Will the bench support the maximum system weight plus a safety margin?
    • GC minimums - W: 84”, H: 40” w/ALS, D: 26”
    • GC/HS minimums - W: 116”, H: 40”, D: 26”
    • GC/MS SQ minimums - W: 92”, H: 40”, D: 26”
    • GC/MS TQ minimums- W: 96”, H: 40”, D: 40”

  • Trash – Is there room for it?
    • There are a lot of boxes and bags!

  • Who will remove the trash?
    • You are responsible for all trash.
