What are the top questions you should discuss with your Agilent Representative before your system arrives on site?  Help us help you get ready for the arrival of your new system.

  • What was purchased?
    • Try to find out what was purchased so you can make sure the lab space is ready for the arrival of the system.

  • What is the Agilent Sales Order Number?  

  • Is there information describing anything special or unusual about the order or the site that would help the installer?

  • Did you purchase an analyzer or custom solution?
    • Are there any specific requirements?

  • Have you completed the free Agilent Education Course GC-8890-1201e - Getting Prepared for Your New GC System?
    • Many of the questions in this document are answered there in detail.

  • How long will it take for the system to be installed?
    • It depends on the site readiness and system configuration.
    • Where is it listed how much time it typically takes?  
    • How do I purchase additional time?

  • Will the installer show me how to use the system?  How long will the installer be delivering Introduction?  What will I learn?  
    • What if I want to learn more about my system after the installer leaves? What resources are available?

  • Who should be available during the system installation?
    • We recommend that the operator of the system be available during the entire installation process.

  • What happens if the installation needs to be rescheduled?
    • Call Agilent as soon as you know.
