Good Morning, Just setup a 7890B GC with Empower 3 for the CDS Built an instrument method to use both the front and back injection ports. I have a 6890N with front and back FID that we run a lot of samples on so this isn't a new method development. +…
I made a new calibrant solution and did a full system tune. The system tune passed. However when I switched back to my low 1700 m/z range and did a mass cal/check tune my positive failed but my negative did not.
Hello, I am looking at flavor compounds on a GC/FID. All of my peaks integrate really well except the aldehydes. There is a slight baseline rise long before the actual peak somes out and the GC begins integration at that time. I've tried changing the…
Hello Community,
I have been noticing random peaks, made from 1-2 data point(s), appearing in my samples where nothing should come out.
In the image below, the first chromatogram is the way it's supposed to be while the others show the mentioned peaks…
I would check the pulse and analog HV values. If they reached ~ 1800V and 3300V accordingly, you will need to replace the EM detector. If EM tune fails but your calibration is fine, you can still measure. You just need to be sure that EM is replaced soon…
Hello!
Hoping that everyone is very well, I wanted to know if they can help me, from one day to the next the software stopped responding and asked me in the first instance for a user and password. Letting the software in and just letting a single sample…

What was the EM Voltage before the source cleaning and filament replacement? How old is the electron multiplier? They do not typically fail, the tune EMV setting slowly gets higher and higher. They typically work fine up to ~2500V or so and then the gain…
Hope your week is going well, can wait for spring to actually arrive.
When we turn auto offset on for either of our GCs, it ramps the output so high that it shuts down. This is just for the nitrogen phosphorus detector. We normally turn it off, but…
