  • How to Determine the DV200 of FFPE RNA Samples on the Agilent TapeStation

This Information Applies To: 4200, 4150 and 2200 TapeStation, TapeStation analysis software A02.02 or higher. Issue: When using the Agilent 4200, 4150 and 2200 TapeStation systems, the DV 200 of FFPE RNA samples can be calculated within the TapeStation analysis software. The DV 200 score is a quality score for evaluating quality of RNA derived from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples established by Illumina Inc. in 2016. It represents the percentage of RNA fragments larger than...
  • Analysis of Single Stranded DNA on the TapeStation

This Information Applies To: Agilent 4200, 4150 and 2200 TapeStation. Issue Is it possible to analyze single stranded DNA (ssDNA) on the TapeStation? Which kit is the most suitable for analysis of ssDNA? Resolution Agilent does not offer any kit dedicated or validated for ssDNA analysis. None of the kits have been tested for performance with ssDNA. However, given that the TapeStation RNA assays are validated for total RNA, which is a single stranded nucleic acid, the RNA kits can be...

This Information Applies To: 2100 Bioanalyzer, Bioanalyzer chips Issue: Can 2100 Bioanalyzer assay chips and reagents be interchanged? Resolution: Some assay chips can be used with multiple assays, however some cannot because the chip layout and assay script are different. Caution : Agilent does not guarantee the proper performance of runs when chips and reagents are interchanged inappropriately. Table 1 shows the range of Agilent Bioanalyzer assay chips available...

Are TapeStation Assays Denaturing?

Answer

This Information Applies To: Agilent 4200 and 4150 TapeStation

Issue

Are the Agilent DNA and RNA ScreenTape assays denaturing?

Resolution

The DNA ScreenTape assays in the TapeStation portfolio are not denaturing. Only the RNA and High Sensitivity RNA ScreenTape assays are denaturing.

Components in the RNA and High Sensitivity RNA sample buffer partially denature the sample. There is also a heat denaturation step included in the RNA and High Sensitivity RNA operating procedure in the assay Quick Guides.
