Flickering on ProSize Data Analysis Software

This Information Applies To: Agilent 5200/5300/5400 Fragment Analyzer, Agilent Femto Pulse Systems, Agilent ZAG DNA Analyzer System, Agilent Oligo Pro II, Agilent ProSize data analysis software

Issue

The ProSize software is flickering. It is usually due to incompatible display resolution settings.

Background

An example of how this issue appears is shown in Figure 1.

Steps to Follow

Right click the Windows Desktop, then from the contextual menu, click Display settings and scroll down to the section Scale and Layout (Figure 1).

  1. Check the Display resolution. The resolution should be set to a minimum of 1280 x 1024 or 1280 x 800, as specified in the ProSize ReadMe file. 
  2. Close the ProSize software and go to Scale and Layout again. Change the scaling to 100, 125, then 150 %. Each time you change the scaling, try opening the ProSize software to see if the flickering has stopped.
