HPLC Baseline Drifting down at start of each injection

Hello

Please forgive me as I am still new to this but I have not found the answer to my question.

After injection, the baseline drifts downward but it still shows the peaks. The mobile phase is fresh, the column is less than 6 months old. I just replaced the Deuterium lamp. Is there somewhere else I should start looking to hopefully resolve this issue? Please let me know if you need any more details to possibly help me out.

Thank you very much for any help, I couldn't do what I do without you all

  • Here's an update for anyone in the future having this issue.

There was something in the ALS that was causing the baseline to drift after injecting. I also performed a wavelength calibration as ISH had mentioned to do and flushed the entire system. After the combination of these, the baseline is much more steady and we are up and running. Thank you ISH and Andy Wright.
