ICP MassHunter installation error

Hi

I am trying to install the G7201D version of ICP MassHunter on a 1909 Windows 10 laptop.

It goes through the initial process and then errors with a code of 0xe0434352.

Some additional research implies this is a .Net error but a repair install of the .Net has made no difference.

This is a snippet of the log file showing the step its failing at

  • included with the installation media, is a Microsoft folder. In this folder are some .Net Framework updates, Visual C++ Runtime library updates and Visual Studio updates. Run all of these. Your OS may not need these, but it will tell you. If your OS recognizes that they are already installed, opt for a repair. For the after going through all Visual C++ Runtime Libraries, there will be a 32-bit and 64-bit installer; run both. When done reboot.

Configure .NET Framework by going to 'Turn Windows Functions On or Off' You can search for this in the Windows Search tool. When the applet opens, look at first two options. This will be the .NET Framework  configuration. Expand these and deactivate all and click OK. After Windows Update reconfigures, return and activate all under .NET Framework 3.5 (the first of the two main features in the applet). Doing this will activate ASP .NET 4.X under .NET Framework 4.7/8; this is OK.

Reboot and try the MassHunter installer again. Use repair option, if it asks.
