Hello vtpolywood ,
What type of GC do you have, if I may? If it's an 8890 for example there are some Diagnostic tests built-in that you can run on the Cool On Column inlet. Have you recently changed gas tanks (whether carrier, FID fuel, air or makeup…
In MSD Chemstation, you can specify which signal to use for quantification: TIC, Target Ion, or GC Signal (for GC detectors like FID, TCD, etc.) Go to the Calibrate menu and select Edit
Compounds. On the Compound Table Identification tab, look for the…
Hi,
I plan to attempt some SimDist analysis in accordance with D2887 on my agilent GC-FID. I was hoping that I could achieve this without additional software (i.e. just through manual manipulation of the data acquired by Chemstation), but apparently…
Our micro GC 990 is Natural Gas Analyzer B and B extended version with 3 channels (PoraPLOT U, 6-meter CP Sil 5 CB, CP-Molsieve 5A). We are having trouble with data processing. We have 2 calibration gases from Agilent (Natural Gas mixture and Universal…
ICP-MS MassHunter Version 4.1. I cannot Startup Standard Lens Tune!
The message appears "Failed to add Startup/Hardware tasks to Queue; Enter path for batch folder".
As usual (my Batchs)- everything works.
Hello,
Our Headspace sampler 7697A Leak test failed. Leak test failing at the stage 1 off the Restriction and Pressure Decay Test.
Going from there, the sample probe was replaced as well as the pressurization solenoid valve but without success.

Hi everyone.
We have a 8890 Agilent GC with nickel catalyst and FID detector. We would like to use hydrogen as carrier gas, but we don’t know the right flow rates, because the manual is indicating flow rates only for using helium as carrier gas.
For…
Hi!
I still need help yes, please!
- On the machines (GC system and Injector) it just says HP6890 (see photos attached)
- The PC we employ is an old Windows XP running one, that was used to run the GC-FID before we want to control it with the serial…
Hi, I would suggest to test the same without column installed to the FID. If problem looks similar check for leaks at the FID gas lines and clean the FID. If not clean the inlet and replace the split vent line and filter. Maybe try a new column.
