How to Reset the GC/TQ Tune File to Default Values

Issue

When a triple quadrupole GC/MS system tune fails, the user can check for any abnormalities by setting the tune file to default tune file before checking for hardware contamination or other issues.

Steps to Follow

1. Access the MS Tune Screen. There are two options:
   • From the main menu, click Instrument > MS Tune... (Figure 1).

   • In the Instrument dashboard, click the MS Tune... icon (Figure 2).

2. Go to the Autotune tab, and in the Autotune Options section, select the Tune from default settings check box (Figure 3).

3. Click the Autotune button (Figure 4)

4. When the autotune is complete, click the OK button (Figure 5).
