This Information Applies To: Agilent ICP-MS MassHunter Workstation 4.6 or below, and ICP-MS MassHunter Workstation 5.1 and above.

Issue

Guide for identifying the current software version your Agilent ICP-MS system is using, to see if any updates are needed, or if certain options are available. 

Steps to Follow

Instructions are slightly different depending on the version installed:
ICP-MS MassHunter Workstation 5.1 or above
ICP-MS MassHunter Workstation 4.6 or below

 

ICP-MS MassHunter Workstation 5.1 or above

  1. Launch an Instrument Control session
    From the Windows Start menu, click ICP-MS MassHunter Workstation > ICP-MS Instrument Control or double-click the desktop icon (see Figure 1).

  2. Click the Instrument Control button.

  3. From the main ribbon, click the File tab.

  4. From the File menu, click About. (See Figure 4)

  5. Software information is displayed in the dialog box. (See Figure 5)

ICP-MS MassHunter Workstation 4.6 or below

  1. Launch an Instrument Control session
    From the Windows Start menu, click ICP-MS MassHunter Workstation > ICP-MS Instrument Control or double-click the desktop icon. (See Figure 6)

  2. Click the Instrument Control button

  3. Click the pull-down menu next to the Help gadget menu item and click About.
