Downloading and Installing the Default Methods for Parallel Capillary Electrophoresis Instruments

This Information Applies To: Agilent Parallel capillary electrophoresis platforms, 5200/5300/5400 Fragment Analyzer, Femto Pulse, ZAG DNA Analyzer, and their respective controller software 

Issue

If you have saved changes to the methods and wish to revert to the validated methods, or the method files were corrupted, you can download the default methods free of charge.

Steps to Follow

The following links will take you to the software download page for that instrument. On each of those pages, if you scroll down to the controller software section the method files are available to download. 

The method files will be downloaded as a zip file. Unzip the contents of the zip file to the following location:

  • AATI branded controller software: C:\AATI\Methods
  • Agilent Technologies branded controller software: C:\Agilent Technologies\Methods
  
Tip: If there are any method files that you do not wish to overwrite, take care not to save over them with the default method files. Make backup copies of Method files if necessary to prevent this from occurring.
