Problems with TIC

The masked faults that you reported earlier are not causing a problem-they are expected.

There should be a program loaded on your PC called TOF Diagnostics.  If you open this and then use the pull-down menu to connect to the TOF, this tool can be useful to diagnose the problem.  Go to the "SC Readbacks" tab and use the "Run State" button.  Look for a line that says "Active Instrument Faults".

For the reference nebulizer gas, G6210A sets this for you at 13 psi.  The sample nebulizer should be set to 20 psi, 5 l/min for tuning and probably 45 psi, 10 l/min for sample analysis.

No active faults.  This TOF should be ready to run.  If it has an ESI or dual ESI source installed, the SG should be 0.  If it has a Jet Stream source installed, SG should be 10.  What is the status in MassHunter?

Sorry, but I don't have TeamViewer.  What color is the TOF icon in MassHunter?  Are there any recent entries in the MassHunter logbook?

OK-if color is green, there are only 3 things that I can think of;

1.  TOF has not been tuned.  Do you know when the last Autotune was performed?

2.  The LC stream is not reaching the TOF.  You can verify this by removing the nebulizer needle with LC flow turned on and look for the aerosol spray.

3.  MassHunter software is corrupted.  You may be able to repair the software from Windows Control Panel.

Fast polarity switching won't work.  One of the dipolar power supplies in your TOF is only working in negative mode.  It has 0V output in positive mode.  There's no work-around other than to replace the defective part.
