PFTBA Solution Top Up in 5977B MSD

Question

When replacing the PFTBA solution in the calibration vial, the manual says to turn the analyzer off? Does anyone know exactly what this means? Do I need to vent and turn the power off?

Hi all, garyb007 is correct. As long as you are not scanning with the MSD, you can replace PFTBA and then follow the procedure to purge the cal valve.
