Hello,
I have a HP 6890 Plus that I need to change the IP address on. Can anyone guide me on how to do that? It has been a while since I've done it. Do I connect my PC to it and change the IP through the network settings?
Thanks,
-Lara

Hi lperry thanks for participating in the Community!
I moved your question to the GC Forum for better visibility.

Hi Lara,
The "G1369C LAN Interface manual" will cover how to configure the LAN card. A google search will point you to the manual.
In short
If your PC is connected to the same network as the GC
Open a command prompt on PC
Telnet <Current Address of GC>
ip <New Address for GC>
quit
Power Cycle GC
FYI, It might be more complicated depending on your network, PC and current GC configuration. If you need more step by step I can go into more detail.

The manual can be found at https://www.agilent.com/cs/library/usermanuals/public/G1369C_LAN-InterfaceCard.pdf. Look at the section on setting the configuration switches on pages 21-26. Instructions for using Telnet start on page 39.
Telnet may need to be enabled on the PC. To do that, open Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features. Click on "Turn Windows features on or off" and a new window will open listing the Windows features. Select "Telnet Client" and click OK. Admin access and permissions may be required to complete this.
Thanks Lance,
I'm never sure how much detail to provide. This could be as simple as my short instructions or much more complicated depending on network configuration. Thanks for mentioning that Telnet might not be enabled on Windows 7, 10 or 11. And of course this is all dependent on local permissions.

Thanks so much! I got it changed!
Thank you! It was already enabled. I got it changed!
