Hi Ryan,

to make a long story short:

this is most likely a strontium contamination. Either from the internal standard or your tune solution is dirty. 

This is something you should „worry“ about, because the software will shift the mass axis to an incorrect value. 

so disconnect the internal std, or use a fresh tune solution and run the resolution/axis again. 

the small peak left from Lithium is Li6, and this is no problem.

Perfect, thank you very much for the follow up! I will find the source of the Sr and go from there.

Any updates on this? I have the same issue with a peak at 88, and looking for a solution. RyanS 

I remade all my reagents and solved the issue. It did look like Sr contamination on our end. Have you remade the tune solution yet?

Yes ive remade the 1 ppb tuning solution multiple times

my channel 3 is also looking high

You might try to run the resolution/axis tune with 12;56 and 80 instead of tuning masses and see if you have better peaks. After that switch back to 7;89 and 205 to see if 88 disappears. If not, check if 88 can be washed out with time (measure only the rinse solution as self aspirating).
