I made a new calibrant solution and did a full system tune. The system tune passed. However when I switched back to my low 1700 m/z range and did a mass cal/check tune my positive failed but my negative did not.
I was never able to do glycols via headspsce in the past. The only way I was able to do them was direct injection and FID. 5890 using megabore column. Maybe you could try SPME.
I would check the pulse and analog HV values. If they reached ~ 1800V and 3300V accordingly, you will need to replace the EM detector. If EM tune fails but your calibration is fine, you can still measure. You just need to be sure that EM is replaced soon…
