Wondering if anyone has experience detecting acetic acid and formic acid using GC-FID HSS. I am trying to develop a method based on the limits described in USP <467> of 5000 ug/mL of each of the two solvents, but having a hard time seeing any peaks.
Good morning,
We have an autosampler (Agilent G4567A) for our GC-FID (7820A) and the following method for cleaning and injecting samples.
I have noticed that when the syringe pumps 2µL of sample for cleaning, it then pumps quite a large volume of…
hi community we are developing a method on short chain fatty acids in plasma sample, using a DB fatwax UI column on GC-FID. we are using diethyl ether as extraction solvent however our recovery of patient samples are not so good and looking to use Isoproponol…
Hi, I know this is an old thread, but I am having a very similar issue. I am wondering how did you know to replace the interconnect spring rod? How did you know this was the issue, and that it was not instead an issue with the FID board or the electrometer…
Hi,
After a power cut, the batch file I had open on my desktop seems to have become damaged...
On opening the batch, it fails to open... small dialogue pops up >> "failed to open quick scan file. Failed to read binary quick scan file."
Has anyone…
I have a 6890N GC with an MSD and a GC that I am trying to qualify. The MSD works fine but when it comes to the FID the units are showing as mAU and not PA so it will not pass the validation test. Does anyone have any idea on how we can change the units…
We don't know what is in your water samples, but on a CP-Wax 57 CB benzene and isopropanol are eluting very close to ethanol, just in front of it.
You can find examples of applications of alcoholic beverages on Wax 57 (all types) in Scanview ( (+) Software…
I have a 6890N GC with dual FID. The back column has a much higher flow rate than the front column. The two columns are identical and the setup for inlet, column and detector are identical. I have also swapped the EPC's between the two detectors. Seems…
Hello mckenzie.stevens ,
Did this error occur when attempting to work with the FID data? I've not seen this exact error, but it is possible to receive similar errors when having a spectrum tool selected and trying to work with non-MS data. If you then…
Hello. We have a 2- dimension gc/fid/ms 8890/5977C with a masshunter software. Our aim is to quantify molecular markers (e.g. 1,3,5-Tri-tert - Butylbenzene) used in gasoil to trace fraud. For quantitation we use a sim method (Quantification sim 231 and…
