GC Septum
Inlet septa are used to maintain a leak-free seal at the GC inlet, even after repeated injections.
If the septum has a dimple, the dimple…
Modern labs are constantly looking for opportunities to improve their efficiency and reduce the workload of their staff. Automating repetitive tasks can help to maximize instrument usage and free up operators to perform other tasks, improving overall…
Unless you are strictly matrix matching your calibration standards to your samples, it is best to use an internal standard to account for matrix effects. This is standard practice in ICP-OES. Most people use Yttrium or Scandium, an element that is not…
A new educational page from Agilent’s Liquid Chromatography experts is now available. The brand-new HPLC Fundamentals page is curated specifically for scientists wanting to know more about HPLC technology. It also provides answers for HPLC related frequently…
Hi Raina,
on Carbon columns H 2 will be the first peak closely followed by methane. Like on all PLOT columns overloaded peak shift to smaller retention times, i. e. into your hydrogen signal. There is nothing you can do with this type of column. Hydrogen…
Hello Elei , This is just the normal system pressure as measured by the pressure sensor inside the pump. You can check this from the online or acquisition section of your SW, under the pump status. What SW are you currently using?
Hi MSVS , My pleasure to assist. Thank you for letting us know that you were able to configure successfully using the steps. I am glad to hear that we now have the solution to this case.
