Error 43 on the AriaMx

Issue

Error 43 is displayed on the AriaMx touch screen. Error 43 is a voltage error and it normally indicates that the cartridge LED voltage or motor voltage being detected is abnormal. Sometimes it can be solved by rebooting the AriaMx instrument and reseating the optical cartridges, otherwise it would usually require a repair. 

Steps to Follow

1. From the Home screen, press Settings > System Settings > Optical Module > Change Optical Module. To remove the optical module, you can lift the little lever on the optical module, which enables you to lift out the optical module. However, it is normal for the optical module to require a bit of a wiggle to remove it.

   Caution: Once you have removed the optical modules, be sure not to place them down with the filter windows on the bottom in contact with the bench to avoid the windows getting scratched. Therefore when you place the cartridge on the bench just lay it on its side.

2. Reboot the instrument. Note that if the slots that the optical modules are in have been changed, a background calibration might be needed. 

If the error persists, run system diagnostics and contact your local Agilent technical support with the exported diagnostic results in .res format. You need to be logged into the AriaMx software as Administrator to run the diagnostics and export the .res file.
