This Information Applies To: Agilent AriaMx real-time PCR system
Issue
Agilent technical support may recommend cleaning the AriaMx's Cartridge Modules Carrier (OSM) rails as part of the troubleshooting process.
Background
The presence of dust and old grease on the AriaMx's OSM rails can have a negative impact on the instrument's performance. This debris can affect the movement of the OSM, causing problems such as suboptimal fluorescence patterns (e.g., fluctuations in the baseline signal) or even prevent the movement of the OSM. The OSM rails are also cleaned and relubricated as part of the AriaMx annual preventative maintenance service.
Items Required
Caution: The presence of lubricant on the rails is necessary for the proper functioning of the AriaMx. If too much lubricant is removed during the rail cleaning, the lubrication steps listed here would be mandatory rather than optional. |
Warning: The instrument must be switched off and the power cord unplugged from the socket to avoid damage to the user or AriaMx
