How to Resume a Paused Sequence in OpenLab CDS ChemStation

Answer

This Information Applies To: OpenLab CDS ChemStation

Issue

The sequence is in pending status and the sequence would not run. The user has to resume the sequence to continue running the sequence.

Resolution

The queued sequence will be in Pending status if the Resume Queue button (the Play button) is active in the Run Queue window. The Sequence Status icon would show the paused symbol (see circled icon in Figure 1).

Figure 1
Figure 1. Paused queue

If the sequence table was modified without saving, it will also be added as Pending in the Active Queue. Please make sure that the sequence was not edited, or if it has been edited it needs to be saved before submitting/resuming the sequence.

Figure 2. Active Queue: Data System NOT Accepting Sequences

The Resume Queue button will change to the Pause Queue button when it is clicked, as shown in Figure 3.  Once the Resume Queue button is clicked, the sequence will then run automatically.

Tips: The Pause Queue button is always active when a sequence is running.
