This Information Applies To: Agilent GTA 120, 240/280 GTA Furnace
Issue
Before replacing the electrodes and/or shroud, the GTA Furnace workhead will need to be disassembled. After replacing the electrodes and shroud, the GTA Furnace workhead will need to be reassembled.
Steps to Follow
Disassemble the workhead before the removal and replacement of the furnace electrodes and graphite shroud. This step allows the relevant tooling and procedures to be completed.
Warning: Always turn off the furnace and disconnect the power supply. Allow the furnace to cool completely before handling it.

4. Replace the electrode and shroud, with the center block positioned (Figure 3). The tubing can remain in place when removing and replacing the graphite shroud in the center block.
Tips: See Removing and Replacing GTA Furnace Electrodes and Replacing the GTA Shroud for more information.
