What is the difference between RMSHY-2 (big universal trap for hydrogen) and RMSH-2 (big universal trap for helium)? Can I use helium trap for hydrogen gas? I have teo helium traps and wnat to use for helium and hydrigen gases

If you search Agilent.com for the safety data sheets for both: "RMSH-2 SDS" ...and "RMSHY-2 SDS" ..... you'll find that they are both listed on the same one.

Having one part number for each type of carrier gas reduces confusion more often.
I would suggest moving to the GasClean filtration system, at least to have one of them installed after the RMSH-2 trap as they have indicators to show when the trap is being used up by bad gas or a leak. When the gas clean indicator starts moving, change the Big Universal Trap ahead of it.
Paul thanks for your reply. I have looked for information about these traps because I have two RMSH-2 traps and I thought about using one for the carrier gas (He) and the other for the FID hydrogen. Anyway, I'm going to buy the hydrogen trap. Thanks again
