My GC System 7890A is presenting a Thermal Shutdown after a few seconds of heating the oven. The cause is that the Thermal Auxiliary 2 (MSD) is heating too slowly. I've turned off the GC power, unplugged the connector of the transfer line, and used a voltmeter to measure the pins on the Mass Spec transfer line side. The two skinny ones, the Platinum Resistance Thermometer, measure about 113 ohms at room temperature. The two thicker wires, the heater, is measuring about 16.9 Ohms. Any Ideas on how to solve this problem?
