hello James, my pump down status has been corrected. There is a plate inside the MSD detector which needs to be pushed for a while after switching on the machine.
once pushed for a while the pump status becomes pump on.
Again i am getting pump down status. In vaccum status window it show pump down cycle in progress
Then push side plate again..
Check pftba knob is closed or not.
In vaccum status, what reading it's showing...
If there is leak then you have to find out location of leak...
Hello parth_iitk,
There are some articles in the Agilent Knowledge Portal that may help you as reference to pump down/vent the instrument and to find the leak:
How To Pump Down (Start) the GC/MSD - EI - MassHunter
How To Vent (Shut Down) the GC/MSD - EI - MassHunter

One thing you should consider is that, during operation, the thumbscrew in the side plate does not need to be tightened. the plate should be in place thanks to the vacuum inside the instrument. If the screw is too tightened it may apply too much force over one section of the vacuum seal, which may lead some times to leaks.
