MS 5975C - Sequence not starting - 'MS parameter 64.256 is outside the allowed limits: -0.0313 to 64.0313. Sequence error.'

Try to bake out the system..There are noise signals in tune report.

Like bakeout today then run autotune tomorrow to see result..

Simulate sequence works for me, but actual sequence doesn't. Are you able to look on that log for me?

I have done it few times already. Still nothing. 

My colleague knows how to clean the HED. We are going to do it now.

The is a constant problem with a MS 64.256 Parameter being not in range. What is this parameter?

But after cleaning, check column outlet in MS transferline is okay means it should not broken.

Hopefully, problem should solve but if still any error is coming then take picture of the error once appeared to understand better..

Filament should be in good condition..

Check repeller for scratch..

Generally, when MS 64.256 parameter out range comes during tuning then an error of tune action stopped pop on computer but in this case, your autotune procedure completed without any error.

Tuning should not be completed with this error.

The maintenance I did yesterday didn't solve the problem. Also I performed the checks that you recommended.

All the parts looked ok (both filament were replaced on the source clean, repeller slightly scratched but used to work like that for years, I refitted the column to be on a safe side).

Instrument still tunes without errors, and the sequence is still not running (also tried to run an archive seq, and a seq. created from scratch). Every time sequences were evaluated before running and the evaluation passed.

There are not any specific errors popping up on tuning or on attempting the run. The sequence just stops itself.

The only error I can see is the log entry as below. I do not understand why it says 'Sequence error or user abort.' after the positive sequence evaluation. And certainly I do not abort it!

What is this parameter related to? What does it mean to me?

What else can I do?

Thanks for update.

Share pic tune and tune evsluation file after maintenance so that we will be sure that MS okay or not.

Second Run one any other method without any sequence to see its method/sequence/software problem.

Third, as you mentioned with James that you are using TD with GCMS means sampling from TD so TD and GCMS software are syncronised or not...

Fourth, do you have markes TD or some other company TD.

We have markes TD with GCMS and working without any problem..

And finally, share sequence table to confirm that it's okay or not...

Thanks Ish. There is a bit of progress here. I have tried to run a blank using an archive method and it worked! Could the method file be corrupted? I have compared all the method parameters and they remained unchanged.
