ICP MS 7700 error 1432

Inside housing temperature is too high (error).

Parents
  • Very common error if the exhaust blower is off or not pulling enough air.  Check your flow by removing the duct from the top of the instrument.  With an anemometer read the linear velocity, it should be between 4.7 and 6.7 m/s.  If below the 4.7 m/s, the exhaust blower is the issue.  If within the range, then use compressed air to blow off the sensors located on the back of the instrument, just above where the spray chamber plugs into the ICPMS. The square thermistor in the round hole is the inlet temperature sensor, the one pointed to in the vertical slots is the inside temperature sensor.  This inside temp sensor is heated and requires good exhaust flow to cool it down.  If flow is too low, you will get the error.  If that does not work, you will need to call Agilent for service:  1-800-227-9770 option 3.
