Option gas flow rate error

Hi all, we have Error "1467: Option gas flow rate is out of acceptable range" when trying to ignite the plasma. But the thing is, we don't use option gas (we are running in laser ablation mode) and have nothing connected. We think it might be related to the pressure reading on the Option gas showing a false low reading as it appears to be stuck/frozen (in Sample introduction maintenance), which is why it's not letting us ignite the plasma. Has anyone experienced similar issues before or had any success solving the issue? Thanks in advance.

  • If you do not have option gas connected and have your Hardware settings -> Plasma -> Ignition mode set to Organic Solvent (as pictured below), then the Plasma start up sequence will try to introduce option gas after ignition.

Therefore, as no option gas is connected, this will be out of the acceptable range.

Either change to 'Aqueous Solution' Ignition mode, or have an Agilent Service Engineering remove the call out for option gas parameters during an 'Organic' sequence start up.
