Issue
AriaMx showing a series of errors after delivery, guide for troubleshooting and resolving temperature-related error.
Background
When an AriaMx is delivered, it could take few hours for its temperature equilibrate to room temperature.
If the instrument is turned on before it has adjusted to room temperature, it could produce a whole series of thermal related errors (Figure 1).
Figure 1: Errors displayed at the start up
The required operating environment temperature is from 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F). You can check the block temperature of the instrument in the top-left corner of the touch screen (Figure. 2).
Figure 2: AriaMx touch screen, Block Temperature is indicated with blue box in top-left corner.
Resolution
Make sure to move the instrument into a room with a temperature that is within the operating range and leave it equilibrate.
Do not leave the instrument switched on; if the lab or room where the instrument is stored in is too cold, combined with the heat from the instrument can form condensation inside the unit and damage electric components.
After few hours it can be useful to check the temperature of the instrument's thermal block (Figure 2) If the thermal block temperature is above 20 °C (68 °F), rerun the full suite of diagnostic tests as follows:
Once the instrument temperature is within the operating range and the diagnostics are repeated, errors should disappear.
