This Information Applies To: Agilent AriaMx real-time PCR system
The instrument diagnostic tests should be run whenever it is suspected that there could be a fault with the instrument hardware.
The instrument diagnostics consist of tests aimed at assessing instrument performance. The result of the diagnostic tests helps Agilent technical support identify and troubleshoot any issues that may be present on the instrument.
Steps to Follow
On the AriaMx touch screen Home screen, select User Login (Figure 1).
At the bottom of the screen, select Current User > Open Login Page (Figure 2).
Log in as an Administrator (the default Administrator account password is ADMIN).
Return to the Home screen and select Settings > Instrument Diagnostic > Run Diagnostics (Figure 3).
Select All Tests or the specific test groups that you would like to run. If the AriaMx currently has an error, the test groups that need to be rerun and pass to clear the error will automatically be selected (Figure 4).
Tip: If you are running the observation test group, do not select Skip for any tests as the AriaMx will fail the skipped test. After the diagnostic tests are finished, an error message will be present on the instrument until the test is rerun and not skipped.
