There are three ways to access the logbook.

Using the System log
The most recent entries will be displayed in the log file (see Figure 2).
Entries can be filtered by clicking the funnel icon based on date and time, event type, event source, and category.
Exporting the log file
To export the log file as an HTM file, from the main menu, click File> Print, select the File check box, and click OK (Figure 3).

To export the log file as a .log file, from the main menu, click File> Save Logbook As and save a copy in the desired folder (see Figure 4)
By default, the system logbook file is in the path D:\MassHunter\SysLogbook.log.
Purge settings
Logbook entries persist in the log file for one week. There is a Purge timer in the Logbook’s settings (Tools > Purge Settings). The purge value can be changed to between one day and one year. For ECM systems, only the acq manager role has permission to change this setting.
The Logbook will not be purged/archived if there has been no activity and purging of entries older that the set timer only occurs when the logbook service is restarted.
