Turning Off the Built-in Degasser Within a Pump Module

Created by abasdeo abasdeo 1 month ago | Last modified by Carlos Vargas Carlos Vargas 22 days ago

This Information Applies To: Agilent LC Pumps with built-in Degasser

Issue

If the built-in degasser is not working and gives an error on power-on, the pump will be in error mode, and therefore no injections can be made. The user may wish to disable [or enable] the degasser, especially in an isocratic run, to be able to still use the pump while the degasser is repaired.

This article details how to disable the degasser.

Steps to follow

  1. Launch Lab Advisor and connect to the Instrument.
  2. Go to Instrument Control > [Pump model] > Controls > Control > Degasser Controls and select Degasser > Off. (See Figure 1)

Note:  If you turn off the degasser, and cycle power the pump, it will revert to being back on so will need to repeat the preceding steps each time.
