Issue
This article describes how to extract and reprocess Total Wavelength Chromatograms or Maximum Wavelength Chromatograms from 3D UV data in OpenLab CDS.
Steps to Follow
In Data Analysis, from the Processing tab, go to the Processing Method, section, then click Extraction > Chromatogram (Figure 1)
If the Extraction section is not available, recreate the method as a 3D UV processing method.
Click the UV tab
Select the Extract maximum wavelength chromatogram check box, or the Extract total wavelength chromatogram check box (Figure 1)
Optionally, if a specific wavelength range is required, select the Restrict wavelength range check box, and type the minimum and maximum wavelengths. (Figure 1)
Click Save Method
Reprocess the result set.
After reprocessing is finished, the extracted chromatograms will be displayed under the data trees. Extracted chromatograms are saved automatically at each sample data in the result set. (Figure 2)
Extracted chromatograms will be displayed at the Chromatograms windows. (Figure 3)
Tips: If spectral settings including Extraction are not displayed in Processing Method, the method was not created as a 3D UV processing method.
Recreate the method as a 3D UV processing method according to the following instructions. |
Creating a method as a 3D UV Quantitative processing method.
Click the New Method button
In the Create New Processing Method dialog box, click 3D UV Quantitative then the Create Method button (Figure 4).
Click the Save Method As button, type the desired name for the new processing method and click the Save button (Figure 5).
In the Data Processing pane, select the new method from the Methods list.
