Performing an Air and Water Check on the GC/MSD Using OpenLab CDS

Issue

Performing an Air and Water Check is an important diagnostic check to make sure the levels of air and water in the MSD analyzer are low enough to ensure good instrument performance. The information provided in the report can help diagnose the nature and severity of a leak.

Steps to Follow

  
Tips: The Air and Water Check can only be performed in EI (Electron Ionization) mode.
  1. Request tune control .
  2. Click the report icon then click Generate air/water report. The analysis is run and when finished, a PDF report will open.

    Select Generate air/water report option.
