Issue:
During software troubleshooting with one of our remote engineers, you may be asked to restart Agilent OpenLab Services running on Microsoft Windows 10. Restarting Agilent services may often solve some instrument connection issues and license critical alerts.
Steps to follow:
Open the Services App (Figure 1). In the Microsoft Windows search bar type Services.
Group the Agilent OpenLab services together. In the window, select the Name column heading.
Stop the five Agilent OpenLab services one by one, ensuring Agilent OpenLab Shared Services as last to stop. Select the service from the Name drop down list, then select the stop button .
Start the Agilent OpenLab Services, starting with the Agilent OpenLab Shared Services. Select the service from the Name drop down list, then select the run button .

If this procedure resolved the license or the instrument connection issue, the firewall or antivirus settings on your OpenLab PC may be responsible for the issue.
You may want to discuss with your IT department to modify your firewall and/or antivirus setting so they do not interfere with Agilent Services.
