kristen.sensabaughThe Agilent Community offers a way to exchange private messages with other users. The table below outlines the steps to send private messages.

Step 2 – Hover the mouse over a username you want to message and click Request friendship in the pop-up window.

Step 3 – The other user must Follow you back before you can send a private message. When you Follow someone, they will get an email notification to prompt them to Follow you back.
They also get a notification in their Agilent Community Inbox, where they can click Follow. |

| Step 4 – After you have a bidirectional relationship, you can send a Private Message by clicking the message icon at the top of the screen next to your avatar and then clicking the New Message link in the pop-up. |  |
| Step 5 - Start typing the username you wish to message in the To: box and click the username when it appears in the list. | |
| Step 6 - Enter the subject and message and click Send. |
Your message was privately sent to the user. There is not a way to attach files privately, but if you are comfortable doing so, you can share links to file sharing sites like Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.
