Hi Dheya,
1. Old chemstation works with Windows XP( Now no support for XP from Microsoft)
2. Old chemstation License will not work with Open Lab.
3. Open Lab chemstation works with Windows 7.
4. If you have new purchased Open Lab Chemstation then you can register it through Agilent Subscriber Net for smooth operation.
Hope, it will clear your points.
Hi
You apparently are using Chemstation, NOT OpenLab Chemstation because OpenLab family can not be installed on Win XP.
You just need licence code which can be found in start menu via this path: All Program/ Agilent Chemstation/Add Lisence
in the opening window you can find the license code for GC. You can write it down and use it again in the case of re installing Chemstation. But regarding OpenLab Chemstation, you need to purchase it and register through Agilent Subscriber Net , as ishtiayg said.
To add on to this reply, if for some reason you are unable to launch the Add License (or Add Instrument in later releases of MT ChemStation) program then you should also be able to find any registered license codes in the C:\chem32\Core\registry.lct file.
Hi ishtiyaq

What revision is your older ChemStation? You should be able to determine this by going to Help>About.
