Message "data system NOT accepting sequences"

Would you mind elaborating on what software product you are using? Is this OpenLAB CDS 2.x, OpenLAB CDS ChemStation, or OpenLAB CDS EZChrom? What revision are you running?

Thanks very much. Regarding the message "Active Queue: data system NOT accepting sequences (the current method has been modified. Save or discard the changes" while beginnig a sequence, is it link to the fact that a method change has been reported and we did not save the method?

Sometimes ChemStation gets flagged that the method has changed when the method parameters were only viewed. If no changes were actually made, then you can just choose not to discard any changes when you see the dialog box. This is a pretty normal behavior to see in any revision of OpenLAB ChemStation. If you are concerned that the method is being changed, you can check the method audit trail where these changes can be tracked.

I wonder if this happens every time that you start up OpenLab Chemstation.  If that's the case, then it may be caused by the actions that you take (or happen automatically) when OpenLab Chemstation starts up.  Does Chemstation ask you whether you want to "Download method...", "Upload method///" or "Create method..." every time it starts up?  It's possible that the software is configured (in Control Panel...Instrument configuration) to do one of these three actions automatically on startup.  Selecting either of the last two of these actions results in an unsaved, edited method, I think.  I'm not near an instrument right now, so I can't check!

Yes Chemstation asks if we want to download or create a method every time it starts up. I will check the instrument configuration to see how are the options. Thanks !
