Hi there!
We have a Cary 60. We are doing preventive maintenance, but the noise test fails and it took up to three or four times to get a successful result.
What can we do to improve this and get a passed result the first time?

Hi
Can you share what you did/doing in PM.
When test failed then what error appear..
How old is lamp?
If lamp is not very old and sample compartment area is cleaned means no obstruction to pass light from slit then test should pass.
If those points okay then it's mean hardware issue and for that you to call your local agilent support to check it onsite..
Ok, thank you!
Yes, the lamp is not too old and sample compartment area is cleaned!
Was it run with micro-cuvettes instead of macro-cuvettes?
I learned recently that the closeness of some micro-cuvette walls might refract (for lack of a better word) additional light.
And of course the quality must be QS aka QG.
