BioConfirm 10.0 - Exporting Biomolecule Report tends not to work?

Hi friends!

I have 3 computers that have this software, and one of them is the "data analysis computer." However, whenever I try to export/produce a biomolecule report, nothing happens. Rather than print, I choose for it to save in a specific folder, and nothing ever happens or appears. On another computer, one that's connected to an LC-QTOF, I do this and the process works fine and as expected.

Does anyone else have this little issue and know what it might be?

Hello afzishle ,

Are you using PDF Report Builder templates or Excel? If you are using Excel templates then you would need to make certain that 32-bit Excel has been installed and the addins have been configured correctly. There are some basic instructions available here.

Microsoft Word - Excel 2013 Add-Ins for MassHunter.doc (agilent.com)

This would generally apply to Excel 2016 and 365 as well. BioConfirm installs and uses the Qual addins.

howard_sanford , I usually use the PDF. I prefer to have a more qualitative report that shows both chromatograms, mass spectra (including deconvolution), and biomolecules identified. Do you have any tips or resources for PDF? It doesn't seem to matter where I try to save the report; it never pulls up. I know that overly long file paths are disliked by Agilent, but it doesn't seem to be that.

Hello afzishle ,

I'm not aware of any issues with PDF reporting. For troubleshooting I would try manually printing the report with preview enabled. That should give you some idea if it is an issue with saving the file or just report generation.
