Using Quant 12, Surrogate Recovery Method Setup

Question

Using Quant 12, I am trying to set up a surrogate recovery method for PFAS but I&rsquo;m not getting a calculated value for Surrogate % Recovery. I have EIS (Extracted Internal Standard) set as surrogates, I have NIS (Nonextracted Internal standards) set as ISTD&rsquo;s. Both have ISTD Flag and Time Reference Flags checked, and both have concentrations assigned. ISTD&rsquo;s are assigned as ISTD&rsquo;s for the surrogate compounds, Surrogates are assigned as ISTD&rsquo;s for Target (Native) analytes. For example, 
 NIS = 13C4-PFOA, Type = ISTD, ISTD Cmpd Name = <None>, ISTD Conc. = 1.0, Surr Conc. = N/A 
 EIS = 13C8-PFOA, Type = Surrogate, ISTD Cmpd Name = 13C4-PFOA, ISTD Conc. = 1.0, Surr Conc. = 1.0 
 Native = PFOA, Type, Target, ISTD Cmpd Name = 13C8-PFOA, ISTD Conc. = 1.0, Surr Conc. = N/A 
 
 Can you please suggest what detail I&rsquo;ve failed to set up.

Hello KLHunt , 
 Many outliers require a limit to be entered before they will be calculated. Make certain you have set Surrogate % Recovery Min. and Max. limits in your method. 
 
 For outliers that have an upper and lower limit both must be entered for the outlier to be calculated. I chose some arbitrary limits that would trigger the outlier. 
 With the above settings I am able to see the Surrogate % Recovery for the EIS.
