Mass Hunter Software blocked during use

Question

Dear All, 
 I'm using Mass Hunter V.8.0, last update in 2021. It is the second time that during i'm running something, software freezes but the instrument still works. 
 Is it a bug? Do i need the update edition?

 If the software is freezing, I would start with performing maintenance on the PC. You can find a guide here for Windows 7.

 The same general steps can be used for Windows 10 as well.
