LC-MS DAD spectra

Yes, it's possible to collect spectra in MassHunter with detectors that are capable of doing so. You will need to set up the acquisition method to collect the spectra before they can be extracted though.

If you go into the DAD method section, there will be a Spectrum section similar to the below image where you can choose which spectra to save and the spectra parameters to use.

Thank you for your response. During previous runs the method was set to store the "Apex+Slope+ Baseline" and the spectra weren't able to be extracted. Would changing the method to store "All" make the spectra extractable?

I have a couple of follow up questions to rule out other issues before recommending collecting "All" spectra:

• Are your peaks larger than the threshold setting to trigger the collection of those spectra?
• How are you trying to extract the UV spectra? Are you double-left-clicking, extracting over a range, etc?

That might possibly be the issue, I did not adjust the threshold from the preset 10.0 mAU so I will try adjusting that for my next runs.

To extract the spectra I have tried right-clicking on the chromatogram and selecting extract peak spectra or selecting the peak area right-clicking and selecting integrate and extract peak spectra.
