GC-FID data with masshunter

Was this data collected on a system configured for GC/MS?  Some fixes for opening FID only data on systems configured for GC/MS have been implemented in MH Qual version 10.

As andyg mentions, starting with Qual B.08.00 SP1 and Version 10.0 the handling of data files with only 2D detector data has been improved to automatically open non-MS chromatograms. 

In previous versions the message you are seeing is expected when opening FID only data files. But, after clicking OK on the error message, you can go to the Actions menu and scroll to the bottom and choose Extract All Non-MS Chromatograms and it should load the FID or other 2D data. 

HI Andy. The data was collected into a non ms detector configuration GC system. We have B.07.04 MH acquisition software version and B.07.00 service pack 2 MH qual software version. we do have another GC-MS with 10.0 MH version. I can try to open the same data with this newer version and see if it works. Are you agree? 

Hi Howard. Thank you very much. It works. Since I have a very old MH version it was on the section Chromatograms menu instead of Action menu but we are now able to load FID signal. Thank you very much.
