Agilent Ultivo MS capillary issues

I have seen this on a couple of systems! Did you find an answer to what's going on?  The only time I've seen this handled it was some sort of electronics issue, I think.

Could not yet figure it out and the system is switched off until I figure out what to do. I was thinking of replacing the 'canted coil springs' but the SA distributer of Agilent (Chemetrix) does not want to provide details on how to do it, so I must fly a bloke in from Cape Town and pay for it to replace a couple of springs. To be honest this system has had issues from day 1

Where are you located?  Do you have a service contract?

I'm sorry to hear that, is it a refurb or was it new?  These systems can be really reliable and worth the investment, but I understand your point and have had to argue to get things working as reliably as it should be.  I bumped your question, hopefully that will help with visibility.

Potchefstroom, South Africa. It was a new system but had major issues (electronics) from day 1. Hopefully some one will be able to send me the guidelines of how to change the coil springs
