Communication problem with Agilent 6546 QTOF

Hi Biyi ! Is it that the QTOF appears online the Agilent MassHunter Workstation Data Acquisition software? When I power cycle my 6545 XT Q-TOF, I push the power button the Q-TOF and wait maybe 30 seconds. We try not to go more than a minute of being off since the vacuums will be off during this time too. Sometimes I do power cycle the QTOF and then I power cycle the computer.

To properly power cycle the QTOF:

Shut down Acquisition

shut down engines

Use the Smart Card shut down, follow the prompts

Turn the qtof off for 5 secs then back on

When the indicator light stops blink yellow you can start acquisition.

Communication issues could be firewall and virus is turned on, they need to be turned off.

You might have a Smart Card issue
