Agilent 6430 LC/MS & HPLC 1260 Infinity nitrogen requirement

For a 6430 series LCMS, two Nitrogen sources are required to meet Agilent requirements as the purity of the required gas for each use is different. One gas source for Drying gas (usually supplied by N2 generator or dewar) and one gas source for Collision cell gas (UHP or 99.999% pure cylinder). Hi jzad,  when switching N2 cylinders, is this done with a dual regulator to keep a constant flow of N2?  If so,  can you recommend the required dual regulator that will allow the switching of N2 cylinders?

Do you have a rough estimate on how much ultra pure nitrogen the agilent 6430/1260 infinity use in active mode and stand by mode? Just the untra pure nitrogen which requires a tank and not the the nitrogen generator part.

Gas consumption for the collision cell is low. A standard cylinder of UHP Nitrogen will last for many months (more than 6 usually), as long as the connections are leak free.
